Dolly Parton has been part of my life since childhood — from performing as her in 5th grade with a Nerf‑football “boob” costume to seeing her live at the Grand Ole Opry and even moving to Nashville inspired by her famous quote, “Figure out who you are, then do it on purpose.” When the news of her passing hit today, my phone lit up with messages from people who know how deeply I love her.
